CONDITONS TREATED

Low Back Pain

Low back pain is one of the most common musculoskeletal problems in our modern world. Causes of low back pain vary from poor posture, disc herniations, sprain/strain and and/or degenerative changes.  Low back pain is common among people with lower physical conditioning, sit for long periods of time, or have a labor intensive job. In addition, emotional stress and/or long periods of inactivity can intensify existing symptoms or trigger previously existing problems. With chiropractic care, our goal is to identify the stressors causing your low back pain, then treat it using chiropractic manipulative therapy, rehabilitative exercises, soft tissue therapy and make the necessary lifestyle changes to help you become your best.

Neck Pain

Neck pain is a common musculoskeletal problem facing our public today. There are a multitude of conditions, factors and/or stressors that can cause your neck to hurt. Particularly in the Bay Area, there are long working hours and long commutes. These extended periods of sitting can have negative affects on our posture causing muscle stiffness, tightness in the neck, shoulder and chest. Other common causes range from, sprain/strain, degenerative changes or arthritis. With chiropractic care, our goal is to identify the stressors causing your neck pain, then treat it using chiropractic manipulative therapy, rehabilitative exercises, soft tissue therapy and make the necessary lifestyle changes to help you become your best.

Headache - Tension Type

The two most common types of headaches are tension headaches and migraine headaches. People suffering from a "tension" type headache, often describe that their headache feels like a "tight band" around the head. This is a common presentation of tension type headache and the main cause of it is either muscular or joint related. The headache is a sign that there is issue in the cervical spine and/or surrounding tissue.  With chiropractic care, our goal is to identify the stressors causing your tension headache, and treat it using chiropractic manipulative therapy, rehabilitative exercises and make the necessary lifestyle changes to help you become your best. Chiropractors are great at getting rid of headaches safely and effectively without using medication.

Headache - Migraine

The two most common types of headaches are tension headaches and migraine headaches. People suffering from a "migraine" headache will have some or all of the following symptoms: it is unilateral, meaning it effects one side of the head, it pulsates, lasts for hours to days, nauseating, and debilitating. In addition, some people will experience some type of visual disturbance prior to the onset of a migraine headache and some do not.  Chiropractic care can help manage the symptoms and reduce the occurrence of migraine headache.  In addition with proper tracking we can help you identify your tiggers and find the best ways to avoid them.

Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

Do you type a lot? Have an office Job? Work in manufacturing? Carpal tunnel syndrome is caused when the nerve in the wrist (medium nerve) is pinched or entrapped in the wrist. Pressure on the nerve causes numbness and tingling in the hands. Carpal tunnel syndrome tends to affect people whose jobs require repetitive motions such as typing, writing and/or using tools. Surgery is always an option but conservative care such as chiropractic is a safe and effective alternative. It is important to exhaust all options before surgery is performed. With chiropractic care, our goal is to identify the stressors causing your carpal tunnel, and treat it using chiropractic manipulative therapy, rehabilitative exercises, soft tissue therapy and make the necessary lifestyle changes to help you become your best.

Tennis Elbow/Golf Elbow

Tennis elbow a.k.a "lateral epicondylitis", golfers elbow a.k.a "medial epicondylitis" occurs in people who play tennis and/or golf. However, it is more common in people who perform repetitive motions at work such as typing, writing and/or using tools. The receptive micro trauma builds over a long period of time and often people notice that pain around their elbow slowly worsened over the last few weeks, months or years. Chiropractic care is a safe and effective way to treat this problem. Our goal is to identify the stressors causing your carpal tunnel, then treat it using chiropractic manipulative therapy, rehabilitative exercises, soft tissue therapy and make the necessary lifestyle changes to help you become your best.

Ankle Sprain/Strain

The most common type of ankle sprain is due to an inversion type injury, meaning the foot rolls inward too far.  During the rolling motion, the load capacity of the ankle's muscles and ligaments are exceeded. The end result is pain and swelling around the ankle and sight of injury.  We can identify the grade of the injury and then proceed with the right course of care. With chiropractic care, we can cut down the recovery time, rehabilitate the ankle, identify the potential cause and strengthen the ankle to prevent future injuries.
