Massage Services We Offer
- Deep tissue massage is a technique that targets chronic tension and pain that lies deep in the muscles and fascia, the connective tissues surrounding the muscles. Massage therapists apply firm pressure and slow strokes with their hands, elbows, and/or forearms to break up scar tissue and muscle adhesions, often referred to as knots, to improve circulation, increase range of motion, and reduce inflammation. This type of massage helps with focused problems areas such as: a stiff neck and upper back, headaches, low back pain, whiplash injuries, sore and tight shoulders, sports injuries, repetitive strains, carpal tunnel syndrome, osteoarthritis pain, fibromyalgia, sciatica, leg pain, tennis elbow, muscle spasms, and more.
- Reflexology is based on the traditional Chinese medicine theory that the body's organs, glands, and nervous system correspond with different pressure points on the ears, hands, and feet. By pressing and massaging these points, it can stimulate energy pathways in the body to keep qi flowing throughout the body. Qi is believed to be the vital energy that regulates spiritual, emotional, mental, and physical balance. Reflexologists aim to keep the qi in balance to keep the body disease free.
- Hot stone massage is a type of massage where the massage therapist places smooth, hot stones on the muscles and tissues to reduce tension and pain using slow and long strokes. The heat from the stones can penetrate deeper into the muscles than hands can alone to release tightness.
- Sports massage helps athletes before, during, and after training. This type of massage helps increase flexibility, aid in recovery and prevent injuries, and can also improve performance. It aims to keep the body in optimal physical condition by correcting imbalances in soft tissue that are caused from repetitive, strenuous physical activity.
